I was originally 100% determined to do a half up/half down do, since that's what I think looks best on me, but after my trial we decided to do an updo. I figured my hair would be a mess by the end of the night if I left it half down in the heat, plus an updo looked more formal with my dress. Here's my original inspiration anyways, plus the updo's that were the most similar to mine.
